Behind the scenes

02 The story

The brief

Produce a quirky, performance-driven campaign that makes blockchain-based finance feel approachable and human for the U.S. market.

The challenge

Pandemic limits on group sizes meant crowd scenes had to be filmed outside the U.S. while the final film still felt seamless. We tested stock footage, CG crowds and more before finding the right practical solution.

The solution

A custom set in Budapest for background plates and crowd, with main talent captured on green screen in the U.S. Every camera, lens, light and reaction was coordinated across continents. Puppeteering, miniature builds and 3D-printed props filled out the world, with a set inspired by the Ted Lasso press room.

The result

A proof of concept for Flying Cactus’s multi-country coordination and hands-on creative problem solving.
